The Ministry of National Defense of Türkiye has released information regarding the suspension of the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center in Aghdam, the ministry posted in this regard on its official X account, APA reports.
“With the memorandum of understanding signed between the Republic of Türkiye and the Russian Federation, the Türkiye-Russia Joint Monitoring Center, established in Aghdam, Azerbaijan on January 30, 2021, has completed its mission to control and prevent violations of the ceasefire regime in the Garabagh region,” noted in the post.

On April 26, a grand closing ceremony of Joint Russian-Turkish Monitoring Centre, located in the territory of Aghdam district, was held, APA reports.
The ceremony was attended by First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, Adviser to the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Bakhtiyar Ersay, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Sergey Istrakov, military servicemen and media representatives.
Firstly, the National anthems of all 3 countries were played.
Greeting the participants of the ceremony, Colonel General K. Valiyev spoke about the activity of the Joint Russian-Turkish Monitoring Centre, which was established by the Memorandum signed between the Republic of Türkiye and the Russian Federation dated November 11, 2020.
Chief of the General Staff expressed his gratitude to the Turkish and Russian military servicemen for their honest and brave service for the sake of peace and stability in the region since January 30, 2021, and wished them success in their future services.
It was also noted that by the statement of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of the Russian Federation, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia dated November 10, 2020, the process of complete withdrawal of the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation, temporarily stationed in the Garabagh Economic Region of Azerbaijan, from the territory of the country has begun due to the early termination of activities by the agreement reached between the top leadership of the two countries.
The closing ceremony ended with the presentation of an artistic program with the participation of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov and the Military Orchestra of the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev.

Joint Russian-Turkish Monitoring Centre stationed in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam has ceased its activities today, APA reports.
On this occasion, a solemn ceremony is being held at the Türkiye-Russia Joint Monitoring Center organized by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
In this regard, a media tour was organized for a group of media representatives.
Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army Colonel-General Karim Valiyev, the ambassadors of Türkiye and Russia, and other persons take part in the ceremony.
Noted that by the Memorandum signed between the Republic of Türkiye and the Russian Federation, a Türkiye-Russia Joint Monitoring Center was established on January 30, 2021, in Aghdam, Azerbaijan, to monitor the ceasefire regime in the Garabagh region and prevent law violations. As a result of the anti-terrorist measures of September 19-20, 2023, Azerbaijan restored its sovereignty throughout the country. In this regard, since the Russian Peacekeeping Contingent started to leave the Garabagh region a few days ago, there is no need for the Joint Center to operate. Additionally, the Ministry of National Defense of Türkiye announced on April 18 that the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center located in Aghdam will be suspended.

Աղդամում այսօր տեղի է ունեցել ռուս-թուրքական համատեղ մոնիտորինգի կենտրոնի փակման պաշտոնական արարողությունը, հաղորդում է ադրբեջանական APA գործակալությունը։
Արարողության մեկնարկին հնչել են Ադրբեջանի, Թուրքիայի և Ռուսաստանի պետական օրհներգերը։
Ադրբեջանի գլխավոր շտաբի պետ Քերիմ Վելիևը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել թուրք և ռուս զինծառայողներին 2021 թվականի հունվարի 30-ից «բարեխիղճ և խիզախ ծառայության համար՝ ի շահ տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության»։
Նաև նշվել է, որ «մեկնարկել է խաղաղապահ զորախմբի ամբողջական դուրսբերման գործընթացը, որը ժամանակավորապես տեղակայվել էր Ադրբեջանի Ղարաբաղի տնտեսական շրջանում՝ համաձայն Ադրբեջանի, Ռուսաստանի և Հայաստանի ղեկավարների 2020-ի նոյեմբերի 10-ին ստորագրած համաձայնության»։
Անցած շաբաթ թուրքական կողմը հաղորդեց, որ Աղդամում ռուս-թուրքական համատեղ մոնիտորինգի կենտրոնի գործունեությունը կդադարեցվի։
Ռուս-թուրքական դիտորդական կենտրոնն Աղդամում տեղակայվել էր 44-օրյա պատերազմից հետո Անկարայի ու Մոսկվայի միջև ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածության համաձայն։ Կենտրոնի նպատակը «Ղարաբաղում հրադադարի ռեժիմի պահպանմանը հետևելն էր»։ Այդ կենտրոնի գործունեությամբ ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ Թուրքիան փաստացի առաջին ռազմական ներկայությունն ապահովեց Հարավային Կովկասում։
Անցած շաբաթ Մոսկվան էլ հաստատել էր, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղից հեռանում են 2020-ի պատերազմից հետո այնտեղ տեղակայված ռուս խաղաղապահները։
